Kazakhstan Project
Asia Max’s new project is its most exciting yet, as the company is moving into the lucrative and rich sulfur production market in the Atyrau region of Kazakhstan on the Caspian Sea. Specifically, Asia Max is installing Enersul GXM granulation machinery at its Atyrau facility with the total capacity to granulate 4,500 MT of sulfur daily. Construction of this facility and installation of these new machines is slated to begin in October 2026.

GXM1 NEXGEN™ Single Pass Sulphur Granulator
The GXM1 NEXGEN™ offers a new innovative approach to Enersul's proven GX Sulphur Granulation Process. Our modular design greatly reduces construction costs and commission time while simultaneously increasing product capacity. In addition, our single pass technology requires a far smaller footprint as well as lower utility consumption resulting in lower operating costs.

The GX™ Process
The Enersul GX™ granulation process uses a size enlargement process to transform molten Sulphur into dense spherical solid granules. Small particles of Sulphur (seed) are sprayed and coated with molten Sulphur as the product moves through a rotating drum. Each applied layer is cooled to solidification before another coat of molten Sulphur is applied. With repeated application, bonding and then cooling of successive coats, the seeds increase in volume and weight until they reach the desired granule size, between 2 to 6 mm in diameter.
How Does It Work?
Sulphur granulation is a size enlargement process. Small sulphur seeds (undersized granules) are repeatedly coated with a liquid sulphur spray and cooled. With repeated application of liquid sulphur, the seed increases in volume and weight. As the granule is enlarged, each coating of liquid sulphur is fully and structurally bonded to the layer beneath. This creates a spherical granule which is entirely dry and completely free of voids.
